Ipanema Coffees have been producing high quality beans since 1969 and providing a range of specialty coffees for over 20 countries worldwide. They devote themselves to high quality and traceable Brazil specialty coffees. It owns 5,500ha growing land and were divided into three historical estates: Conquistar, Capoerinha and Rio Verde, which are all located in sul de Minas of Brazil. The estate has cooperated with Brazil agronomists to analyze soil, weather, altitude and geographical characteristics since it's founded. For non-stop works over 40 years, they deliver high quality specialty coffees today.
Except for researching plantation, sustainability is the commitment of Ipanema to consumers. By means of working with scientists, they seek for better operation for coffees and ecology. There are 1,200ha ecological conservation zone. Through above mentioned hard works, Ipanema Estate authorized by UTZ Certified 2002, Rainforest Alliance certified 2004, and recently Fair Trade USA certified.
In addition to focus on environmental sustainability, the estate also puts emphasis on cup quality and has their own cup tasters. Those tasters were certified by Specialty coffee American Association (SCAA) and CQI Q Grader. They inspect coffee more than 10,000 times per year for coffee quality and cup more than 300 cups to stabilize rigorous quality control. This is why Ipanema estate known for their high quality coffee.
This lot is 100% Bourbon and semi-washed process, thus, the body of coffee would be rich.
